Phoenix Fest 2008

Phoenix Fest looking for Vendors and Parade Participants for this year’s annual event.   Durham’s hottest street music festival is back again this year, celebrating the cultural legacy of Durham’s Historic Hayti community.

Phoenix Fest is Saturday, September 20, 2008.  It will transform Fayetteville Street into a bustling bazaar for thousands of festival goers of all ages. Bluesman Bobby Hinton is headlining, along with many of your favorite artists and talent from all over the east coast.  There will also be eye-pleasing vendors with unique items for sale, children’s attractions, information booths and lip-smacking soul food.

Phoenix Fest steps off with the annual Parade 9:00 AM and the center stage keeps rocking on Fayetteville Street until the last act leaves at 6pm.  Shaded seating is available and the event is handicapped accessible.
